Wasted $200 on a fancy end mill set I never needed
I was convinced I needed a full set of 20 carbide end mills for my little Tormach after reading some forum hype. Six months later and I've only touched three of them, the rest are still in the plastic case. That $200 could have bought me a decent vise or a few good quality cutters I'd actually use. Anyone else have a drawer full of tooling you thought you needed but never touched?

That $200 set is actually a solid foundation if you ever need a weird size in a pinch... the money you save not having to buy individual cutters at $15-$20 a pop adds up fast. Plus those Tormachs can run those carbide bits all day once you start pushing your projects to the next level. You'll probably dig into that case more than you think once you get into some real complex jobs.

Doesn't it feel like we all do that with hobbies? You see the pro setup and buy the whole deal before you even know what you actually need. Same thing happens with my kitchen gadgets, bought a mandoline slicer two years ago and still haven't unwrapped it.
