A five minute chat with my landlord killed my old script habit
I was about to rewrite my whole house inspection script for the third time this year, then my landlord in Austin just said he fixes everything with a simple checklist he prints off the county website. He doesn't touch code, but his logic made me see I was overcomplicating things, stacking functions when a basic ordered list would work. I gutted my 300 line Python tool down to 45 lines using just if/else and a text file. Has anyone else cut way back from copying fancy frameworks when a plain sequence does the job?
