A kid at the library in Dayton showed me his first Scratch project and I felt old
I was volunteering at the downtown library here in Dayton last Saturday and this 9 year old named Marcus pulled up Scratch on one of the computers. He dragged a few blocks around and made a little cat walk across the screen in maybe 10 minutes flat. Back when I started learning, I spent a whole afternoon just figuring out why my loop ran forever. Do kids picking up coding this way now actually learn the basics faster, or does the drag and drop stuff hide too much?
