Hot take: a guy at the library code meetup in Portland said to retype examples by hand, not copy paste
He claimed his debugging speed doubled after 3 weeks of typing every sample himself, and I tried it for 10 days on basic loops and finally stopped blanking in the middle of a for loop. Does typing everything by hand actually stick, or am I just wasting time I could spend on new stuff?

Honestly nah, you're just wasting time, copying teaches you the same thing faster.
