Monday tried to learn React and ended up breaking the browser on my own machine like 4 times
I was following this tutorial for a simple todo app and somehow my terminal turned into a nightmare of red errors - had to uninstall and reinstall node three times before my roommate asked if I was okay. Anybody else have days where you just can't get the environment to cooperate?

That whole "terminal turned into a nightmare of red errors" bit hits close to home. But here's the thing nobody's saying - maybe the tutorial itself was the problem, not your setup. Half those beginner React guides skip explaining the actual config files and just throw you into the fire.

Nah, the tutorials are fine for what they are. They're meant to get you building something fast, not hold your hand through every single npm package. If you can't handle a few red errors and figure out a config file, maybe web dev isn't for you. Real learning happens when you crash, fix it, and actually understand why.
