Nearly lost a whole project folder because I didn't check my repo for 3 days

Was working on a simple landing page for a client in Austin and forgot to push for 72 hours straight, then my laptop BSOD'd and I thought it was all gone. Turned out I had a local backup from 2 days before but it taught me to never go that long without committing again. Anybody else ever have that panic moment where you think you lost everything?

72 hours without a commit, were you coding on a plane or just that busy?

Honestly, I think you're reading too much into the time stamps. Commits don't always tell the whole story. Sometimes you're working on a big refactor that doesn't make sense to push in chunks, or you're dealing with local branches that merge later. Not every day of good coding shows up in the commit log.
