Picked Python over JavaScript for my first project, 3 months in and I still hate the indentation rules
I had to choose between Python and JavaScript for building a basic calculator app and went with Python because everyone said it's easier, but now I'm spending more time fixing whitespace errors than actually coding, has anyone else regretted their first language choice?

Honestly, is getting mad about whitespace really that big of a deal? You're three months in and building a calculator app, not launching a rocket. Just hit tab or space a few times and move on. It's not like JavaScript doesn't have its own weird quirks (have fun debugging semicolons async stuff). Every language has annoying parts, you just gotta pick your poison and roll with it.

Yeah, "pick your poison and roll with it" is pretty much the motto of every developer I know. I once spent a whole afternoon rage-googling why my Python script kept throwing an error, only to find out I'd mixed up a tab and a space in a single line. So yeah, whitespace drama is REAL when you're three months in and everything feels like it's held together with tape and hope. At least in JavaScript you can blame semicolons or async for your mess, but in Python you just look like you can't count to four spaces.
