Finally tried a pour-over at a cafe in Portland last week and now I get the hype
The barista used a fancy gooseneck kettle and took like 4 minutes to pour, and the coffee actually tasted cleaner and less bitter than my usual drip - has anyone else found that a slow pour makes that big of a difference?

Have you tried adjusting your grind size when you do a slower pour? I found that going a notch finer with a slow pour made the clean taste even better, almost like the water had more time to pull out the good stuff without getting bitter. Took me a few tries to get the timing right but it was worth it.

That bit about the water pulling out the good stuff without getting bitter is exactly what I've been chasing. I tried going finer on my last batch and it was a mess at first, but once I slowed the pour down it finally clicked. Glad to hear someone else went through the same trial and error and came out with better coffee.

@drew_bennett24 Finer grind with slow pour is the move. Took me three tries to nail it.
