My cheap burr grinder finally died after 8 years

I bought a $30 Mr. Coffee grinder back in 2016 just to get off pre-ground. Last month the motor gave out and I switched to a used Baratza I found on Craigslist for $80. Has anyone else noticed a huge difference in how fast their pour-over drains with a better grind consistency?

My Baratza took my V60 from 2 minutes flat to almost 4, and I thought my scale was broken. Honestly the first pour was like watching mud drain through a clogged sink. Ngl, I miss my old grinder for the first day just because I didn't have to stand there waiting for my coffee.

Tbh my pour-over went from 2 minutes to 4 with the upgrade.

Wait, was that with the same grind size or did you have to dial it in? Because if the flow rate is really that different that's a huge adjustment for your brew times.
