My granddad's old pinch trick fixed my sour morning cup, and I feel silly for waiting so long
For about two years my first cup of the day came out harsh and bitter no matter what I did with the grinder. Last month I dug out my granddad's battered moka pot and tried adding just a tiny pinch of salt to the grounds before brewing, maybe a quarter teaspoon for the whole batch. The sour edge went away and the cup came out smooth enough that I stopped dumping sugar in it. I realize this is old news to a lot of folks on here, but I'm curious what other small fixes people swear by that don't cost a dime.
