Found out my local coffee shop uses the same beans as a $6 latte place across town

I was chatting with the barista at Brew & Blossom last Thursday, and she casually mentioned they source their espresso from a roastery like 10 miles away. Out of curiosity I looked up the roaster online and saw they supply a fancy chain that charges $6 a cup for the same single origin stuff. Meanwhile, Brew & Blossom does it for $3.50 and gives you a free refill on drip. Has anyone else stumbled on a secret like that at their usual spot?

@felix_hayes64 yeah it's the one on Elm! Wild how that works. I actually did the same thing with a taco spot near my place - turns out they use the same tortillas as a bougie taco truck that charges double. Guess my taste buds are just too cheap to know the difference between fancy and my usual slop, haha. Brew & Blossom sounds like a steal though, free refill on drip is unheard of these days. Makes me feel dumb for overpaying for years.
