Hot take: sitting at a communal table beat my corner booth habit
I used to always grab a booth at Brew Lab downtown. Thought I needed the privacy to focus. Last week I tried the big communal table for 3 days straight and my productivity jumped way up. Turns out being around other people working keeps me from checking my phone every 5 minutes. Anybody else find that certain seats change their whole work flow?

That kitchen counter trick is real, I switched my laptop spot at home too.

Notice how the same thing happens with other stuff too. I started drinking my morning coffee at the kitchen counter instead of the couch and it changed my whole day. That spot by the window at my local library makes me read way more than my desk at home. It's like our brains are wired to pick up on what's happening around us even when we think we're ignoring it. Maybe the environment is a bigger part of our focus than we give it credit for.
