Swapped my usual corner table at Brew Lab for the big communal table and I actually got more work done in 2 hours than my usual 4 hour session
Been going to that spot off Burnside for like 8 months always hiding in the back, but last Tuesday the whole place was packed so I sat at the long table and ended up chatting with a graphic designer who gave me a shortcut in Figma that saved me like 3 hours on my freelance project - has anyone else had random productive luck by switching their normal spot?

Maybe just me but switching seats changes your perspective on stuff and your brain works different. It's like the new background noise or people watching makes you focus better without trying. The Figma shortcut thing is wild though, sometimes a quick conat is worth more than hours grinding alone.

One time I moved my desk to stare at a wall for a week because the window distracted me too much. Ended up missing the window so bad I wasted another week moving back. Nothing productive got done, just a lot of desk shuffling.
