Switched from the loud chain on 5th Ave to a tiny spot off Elm, and my 3 hour focus blocks actually happen now
The big place has better espresso but I was packing up every 20 minutes from the blender and the group next to me. The new spot plays the same 90s playlist every day and nobody talks above a whisper, so now I get 3 solid hours in. Anyone got a quiet spot like this in the Denver area for when I travel?
Why do we always think the best spot has to have the best everything? In my experience the place with the perfect coffee is usually the one where you can't hear yourself think, and the place where you actually get work done has average joe and a weird playlist. I've started picking spots based on noise level first and coffee second, and my output went way up. It's a trade off most people don't want to admit they need to make, but your mileage may vary.
