Unpopular opinion: I think the loud coffee shop near downtown works better for remote work than the quiet one.
Tried working at Silent Brew last week because everyone raves about it, but the dead silence made me way too self-conscious. Learned I focus better with background chatter and clanking cups, anyone else find quiet spots actually harder to concentrate in?

Silent Brew drove me nuts for the same reason. Did you notice if they had a white noise machine or anything running, or was it genuinely dead quiet? That hollow echo makes me hyper aware of every breath I take. Only way I can handle those places is if I've got headphones in, but then it's basically the same as working from home.

Wait, is it just me or does total silence make every little keyboard click sound like a gunshot? You're not wrong, the background hum is way less distracting.
