Am I the only one who read all of Watchmen in one weekend and felt nothing?
I finally sat down with Watchmen last month, finished it in two days, and just felt tired instead of blown away like everyone promised. Now I am wondering if reading it in one gulp killed the whole thing, or if I am just broken, so tell me, do you take your time with big books or binge them?
Binging ruins the slow burn. Watchmen is built on re-reading, the little details in panel backgrounds, the pirate comic running under the main story. Two days means you skimmed past all that setup. Try it again over a month and tell me you still feel nothing.
