Found out 1 in 4 comic fans never actually read the issues they buy
Saw this stat from a Diamond Distributors survey last year. Blew my mind. People just collect for covers or speculation. I asked my LCS owner and he said yeah, some customers just bag and board them right at the counter. Makes me wonder how many graded 9.8s are really just unread books.

Does anyone else feel bad for those books? I know theyre just sitting in plastic, but it still kinda hurts to think about all those stories nobody ever read.

Bagged my first Spawn #1 right at the counter in 92, still haven't opened it. Figure there's thousands of us doing the same thing.
