Found out Peter Parker's been Spider-Man for 15 years in-universe and I had to sit down

Was reading that new Ultimate Spider-Man run and got curious about the timeline. Looked it up on some Marvel wiki. Apparently from his first appearance in 1962 to right now in the main comics, only about 13-15 years have passed in-universe. That's insane. I've been reading these books for 20 years and the guy still hasn't finished college. Meanwhile I'm over here with a mortgage and a kid. Anyone else find a random comic fact that just broke your brain?

Broke your brain"? Come on now. It's just comic book time, man. You know they don't age like real people. It's been that way forever. I mean, does it really matter if Peter Parker is still in his twenties after all these years? That's just how it works in these books. It's like finding out Superman's secret identity is Clark Kent - you've always known it, you just didn't think about it.

Crazy how 15 years in comics feels like 50 in real life.
