Just saw a guy at my local shop who had the wildest collection of 90s variant covers I've ever seen

He had like 200 copies of the same X-Men #1 from 91, all polybagged and unopened. Do people actually think those are gonna be worth something someday?

Thinking those polybagged copies are gonna be retirement money one day. Seen so many people sitting on those hoping for a big payout but they printed way too many of them.

Ngl @lopez.jana, I'm one of those people still hoarding a stack of polybagged issues like they're gold bars. Then I tripped over the box last week and realized they're just expensive cardboard mats now. Probably should have just bought the dip on something actually rare instead.

...and THAT'S why my uncle still has a milk crate full of sealed Pogs from the 90s. He thought those slammers would put his kids through college but now they just take up space in his garage. Same exact thing with these polybagged books, everyone thinks they hit the jackpot but the market just gets flooded.
