My old long box got soaked in a basement flood, sorting through it hit different

Found my 1992 X-Men run under two inches of water last week after a pipe burst. Pulling out those wrinkled issues with the cover art still popping, I realized I remember the exact spinner rack at the mall where I bought #14 for $1.25. Anyone else hold onto physical books just for the smell and the memories, or am I just a hoarder with extra steps?

Freeze them flat first, then press them between towels before you even try to separate pages.
