My uncle told me to stop buying single issues back in 2010

He said, 'Just wait for the trade, it's cheaper and you won't have a box of floppies to store.' Honestly, I ignored him and kept buying my weekly pulls for another three years. Tbh, I spent probably over $800 on single issues of events that got terrible reviews, like Fear Itself. Now my closet is full of longboxes and I mostly read digitally or get collected editions. Has anyone else switched from singles to trades and actually saved money or space?

That fifty bucks for a bunch of floppies is rough. I sold my Fear Itself run for maybe twenty, and that was a lot of books.

How much space did you end up clearing out after you switched? I finally sold a bunch of my old floppies for like fifty bucks total, just to get them gone. The math on trades is way better, especially when you wait for a sale.

Cleared out two whole long boxes myself... that fifty bucks @sarah_hart got is about what I expect now, just happy for the shelf space.
