Showerthought: I started a comic swap at my local library

I put a box in the lobby for people to leave books they finished and take new ones. After a month, we have over 200 comics rotating through and I've met more fans than I ever did at the shop. What's a good way to keep track of who brought what without making it complicated?

Over 200 comics rotating through" sounds like you need a librarian, not a spreadsheet.

Actually, keeping a simple list on a clipboard by the box would work fine! People could just write their name and what they left. Hendorson.avery has a point that it's not a real library, but a little tracking helps folks feel good about sharing. A spreadsheet sounds like overkill, but a basic notebook stops someone from taking ten books and leaving none. The whole point is to keep it easy and friendly, not to build a whole system.
