Spent $400 on a graded slab for a key issue and I feel like a sucker
The grade came back lower than expected, so now it's just an expensive plastic case. Anyone else think the grading hype is a total scam for modern books?

Oh man, tell me about it. I've got a slab on my shelf that cost more than my car payment, and for what? A number I argue with in my head. Feels like paying extra just to get your own hopes crushed, lmao. The plastic prison is the real key issue here.

Stop buying slabs for cards you just like, jesse_green55. I switched to just getting the ones I truly love graded, which saved me a ton of cash. It makes the whole thing feel less like a money pit, you know?
