That rainy Saturday at the Baltimore Comic-Con where I realized I'd been bagging my books wrong for 10 years
I was at a booth for a guy who restores old comics and he saw me flipping through a stack I bought. He pointed out these little crinkles on the edges of some books and asked how I stored them. I showed him my bags and boards and he just laughed. Turns out I was putting the board in backwards - the acid-free side was facing the wrong way. He said most people do it for the first few years but I had been at it since 2014. Now I check every single bag and board before I put a book in. Has anyone else found out they were doing some basic thing totally wrong for way too long?

Bagging comics wrong for 10 years is rough lol. I did something similar with my graded books. Kept them in those cheap plastic sleeves that actually trap moisture and bend the corners. Took a buddy pointing out a warped cover on my ASM 300 before I realized. Now I only use mylar and make sure the board is in right. Live and learn I guess.
