That Wednesday at the comic shop changed my mind about foil variants
I was always a 'read the story first' purist who hated paying extra for shiny covers. But last Wednesday, Mike behind the counter showed me this foil Batman #423 with the blacklight reactive ink, and the way the colors popped under the store's lamp was incredible. Has anyone else gone from hating variants to actually hunting them?

Felix makes a good point, but Dave's Joker foil was a specific cover he wanted for his PC. What actually got you to pull the trigger on that Batman - the blacklight gimmick or the art itself?
