Just realized checking my umbilical every 20 feet instead of eyeballing it fixed my comms problem
Was losing comms on a 60 foot pier job in Baltimore last month and figured it was the headset. Started wrapping my hand around the line every 20 feet on the way down and felt a kink I would have walked right past. Anyone else do a hand check on the line instead of trusting your eyes?
