Switched to Kirby Morgan band masks for a salvage job in Galveston last month
Tried both KMB and hard hat setups on the same wreck. Band mask was way easier to work with in tight spaces. Anyone else notice it makes a difference on shallow work?

Yeah, I tried a KMB band mask on a wreck off the Florida coast last year, and it was a game changer for getting into tight engine rooms. The hard hat kept snagging on pipes and cables, but the low profile of the band mask let me slide through without fighting my gear. What depth were you guys working in Galveston?

Tbh I used to think hard hats were the only way to go for wreck work, but @umar59 you're spot on about the snagging issue. Always figured band masks were just for shallow stuff, but hearing you slide through engine rooms with one is changing my mind on that.
