That one job near Seattle last month where everything that could go wrong did
Ngl, I had a 40 foot dive to swap out a valve on a dam intake structure. The vis was maybe 6 inches, current kept pushing me sideways, and my drysuit inflator stuck open for a solid 2 minutes. Took me 7 hours to finish a job I budgeted for 4. Anyone else have a dive where the conditions just fought you the whole time?

Ever try tying a ziptie to your inflator dump to give yourself a manual override? Saved my ass more than once.

Oh man, that's actually pretty clever. I can see that being a lifesaver if your inflator button ever sticks or you lose the dump valve control line in a pinch.

Has anyone tried using a zip tie to secure the inflator button in the first place instead of relying on it as a backup fix? Seems like a lighter ziptie could keep it from sticking without adding bulk.
