Went from a standard neoprene hood to a crushed neoprene one for a job in Puget Sound
The water was 45 degrees and we were down for about an hour. My old hood was fine, but I always got a cold spot on the back of my neck after 30 minutes. The new crushed neoprene one is way thinner but way warmer, no cold spots at all. It was a game changer for feeling in my hands too, less bulk meant I could work easier. Anyone have a good brand for heated vests they'd pair with something like this?

Actually it's called crushed velvet neoprene, not just crushed neoprene. The texture makes a big difference.
