Finally tried the 6:15 AM bus instead of my usual 7:30 one
I had to choose between sleeping in or getting to work a full hour early, and I picked the early bus for a week. It was EMPTY, I got a seat every time, and my stress level is way down. Anyone have other weirdly effective schedule shifts that worked for them?

Getting that quiet time to yourself in the morning makes a huge difference. I started grocery shopping right when the store opens on Sundays, and it's the same peaceful feeling. It's amazing how a small change can improve your whole day.

Mary is right about the peace from early grocery runs. It's not just about avoiding crowds, it's about setting your own pace before the world starts making demands. That empty aisle feeling lets you actually think straight. I've found the same thing happens if I walk my dog before sunrise. The quiet streets have the same effect as an empty store. It carves out a piece of the day that truly belongs to you, and that feeling sticks around.

Totally get that. My local coffee shop is dead quiet at 7am on weekdays, and it's become my favorite ritual. Just sitting there with a book before the world wakes up completely changes my mood.
