My e-bike motor died in 29 degree weather and I learned a hard lesson
Took my e-bike out last Tuesday in Minneapolis when it hit 29 degrees and the battery dropped from full to dead in about 15 minutes. The manual said cold affects range but I figured 29 was no big deal, turns out lithium hates anything below freezing. I had to push the thing 2 miles to the Green Line station and showed up to work soaked in sweat. Anyone else run into sudden battery failure in mild cold, or did I just get a dud motor?
