That lady on the 7 train who yelled at a kid for taking up two seats really stuck with me

She went off on this like 12 year old for like 3 stops straight until this older guy stood up and told her to chill out in front of everyone, has anyone else had a stranger just snap at someone for no real reason on your commute?

Wondering why nobody asked the kid if he was okay after she got off.

A buddy of mine was at the park with his kid a few years back, same kind of thing happened... this lady's dog jumped all over his little girl and she was crying. Lady just grabbed her dog and walked off like nothing happened. Not a single person said "hey, you okay?" to his daughter... not even the other parents standing right there. He had to scoop her up himself and calm her down while she was shaking. It's weird how everyone just freezes up or focuses on the adult with the dog instead of the kid who's scared.

That's actually such a good point because we forget how scary that is for the kid. People get so wrapped up in blaming someone or getting angry that they totally miss the human right in front of them who's just scared and confused. Really makes you wonder how many kids have walked away from stuff like that thinking nobody cared about how they felt.
