That one Tuesday when my train showed up 12 minutes early and I actually got a seat by the window

I sat down and then the next 3 stops nobody got on or off, so I just stared out the window in silence for 25 minutes and it felt like a stolen moment, has anything like that ever happened to you on a commute?

That silence when nobody gets on or off is the real gift... you can just let your mind wander without all the shuffling and noise. I had a bus ride once where the driver took a wrong turn and we ended up going through this part of town I'd never seen before, old houses with big porches and all these trees hanging over the street. It felt like I was in on a secret that nobody else knew about, just me and the window and that quiet hum of the engine.

Twelve minutes early? That's not some magical moment, it's just a train being on time.

Gotta jump in and agree with @karen_roberts4 on this one! I remember when my bus showed up ten minutes early once and I just sat there watching everyone's faces as they walked up all rushed and surprised. It's not some big DEEP thing, it's just a bus being reliable for a change. People act like every little quiet moment has to be a sign from the universe or something. Sometimes a smooth commute is just a smooth commute, nothing magical about it.
