Unpopular opinion: the bus is better than driving into downtown Phoenix
Three years ago I got a job near Central and Van Buren and figured I'd just drive the 20 minutes from Tempe, but the parking garage wanted $180 a month and I was leaving my place at 6:40 just to beat the backup at the Broadway curve. A coworker talked me into trying the express bus, and after two weeks of fumbling with the fare app I realized I was getting to work less stressed and could actually read on the way in. The one thing I can't figure out is the evening schedule, since the 5:15 is always packed and the 6:00 sometimes just doesn't show. Does anyone have a trick for timing the evening buses or do you just build in a buffer?
