Back in 2015 I used to just shotgun drivers onto machines without thinking twice

These days I always create a system restore point first and check the manufacturer's site for version notes. I learned that the hard way after a bad NVIDIA driver update bricked a customer's gaming rig about 3 years ago. Now I actually read the release notes to see if a driver fixes something I need or just adds bloat. Has anyone else had a driver update mess up more than it fixed?

Yeah @kelly_craig my friend literally cried in a bathroom over it last week.
