Hot take: I started using a $15 thermal camera attachment for my phone on every intake check
Before, I'd just look for dust or listen for fans, but now I spot overheating VRMs and failing drives in seconds (like a 2 degree hotspot on a motherboard last Tuesday). Anyone else found a cheap tool that changed their diagnostic game?

Sounds cool but isn't a two degree difference basically nothing...

It's easy to miss the scale. Two degrees Celsius is a huge shift for the whole planet's systems, not just the weather outside your window. I've found comparing it to a human body helps people get it. A constant two-degree fever would make you really sick, and the planet reacts the same way. The small number hides the massive damage it does to crops, coastlines, and wildlife.

Honestly, that two degrees is a global average, which makes it way bigger than it sounds. It means way more extreme heat waves, stronger storms, and way faster ice melt at the poles. Tbh, it's the difference between a coral reef surviving or just dying off completely. It's like your whole body running a constant fever, everything gets thrown off.
