I finally stopped using compressed air to clean out PCs
I was at a shop in Austin last month helping a buddy and he got onto me for blowing out a power supply with an air compressor. He showed me how the moisture from the compressor can cause shorts over time, even if you think you're being careful. Has anyone else switched to those electric blowers or am I overthinking this?

Wait, moisture from a regular air compressor can actually get into a power supply that easily? I always figured the filter would catch enough of that stuff before it became a problem. Guess my buddy was right to yell at me for blowing out my own rig with the shop compressor last year.

Bought one of those little water trap filters after killing a cheap PSU with moisture myself. That plus letting the compressor tank sit for a few minutes after filling helps a ton. Did your rig survive the mishap or did you have to swap parts?
