Swapped thermal paste from Arctic MX-4 to PTM7950 after a GPU hotspot issue

Used to swear by MX-4 for everything, but my RTX 3080 started hitting 105C hotspot last month while gaming. A buddy on r/buildapc sent me a sheet of PTM7950 and it dropped the hotspot to 92C under load. Has anyone else made the switch and seen that big of a difference on high wattage cards?

Did you repaste the VRAM too or just the core with the PTM?

Nah, just did the core with PTM and left the VRAM alone.
