Back in '08, we'd finish a 20-yard pour with just a Fresno and a prayer for no wind.

Now my crew in Denver uses a power trowel and laser screeds, which cut our time in half but honestly, I miss the quiet of a hand float. Anyone else feel like the new gear takes some of the craft out of it?

Read a cool article about how gear is just a tool, the vision comes from the person using it. Makes total sense with that old soul vibe.
