Had a total blowout on a driveway pour in Springfield last Tuesday
We were about halfway through a 30 yard pour for a big stamped driveway when the subgrade gave way under the front wheel of the truck. The whole load started to slump into a hole about two feet deep. My buddy Jake and I had to scramble to get plywood under the wheels and then we spent the next hour shoveling and re-leveling before we could even think about finishing. What's your go-to move when the ground just drops out from under you like that?
Yeah, it's like the universe waits for that exact moment of no return. You're deep into a home reno project and the plumbing fails. Or you finally get a good rhythm at the gym and pull a muscle. It's never at the start when you can just walk away, it's always when you're fully committed and have the most to lose. Makes you wonder if it's on purpose.
