Just realized my old magnesium float feels totally different from the new ones.
I dug it out for a small patch job. Do you think older tools had a better balance, or is it all in my head?

Got me thinking how older things just feel more solid. Like my dad's old tape measure has a weight newer ones don't. Is quality just harder to find now?

Did my buddy tell you about his grandpa's hammer? It lasted longer than three new ones he bought. @the_claire, your tape measure thing is just like that.
