Question about using plastic fibers in every mix

I started adding plastic fibers to all my pours, and the shrinkage cracks have almost stopped.

Started doing the same thing last year and it was a game changer for me. The fibers seem to hold everything together while the mix cures, which stops those little cracks from forming. My only issue is it can make the finish a bit rougher if you're not careful with the trowel. I just make sure to add them early in the mixing process so they spread out right. It's not a magic fix for everything, but for basic shrinkage, it sure helps a lot. In my experience, it's a cheap way to get better results.

On my patio project last summer, I tried fibers after reading about them online. It's like how adding a little salt to pasta water makes it cook better, a small step that improves the whole result. I see this in home repairs too, where using the right primer stops paint from peeling. These tiny tweaks often make the biggest difference.

Thought fibers were just a waste of money. I skipped them for years because my mixes were fine without. Seeing how they stop cracks changed my mind completely. Now I add them early and the finish stays smooth with careful troweling. It's a simple step that makes a big difference.
