Rant: GC told me to just 'make it work' on a wet slab in Austin

Last month on a crew in Austin, the GC showed up at 3 PM, saw the forecast, and told us to pour anyway. Water was pooling before we even got the bull float down, and he just shrugged and said 'make it work.' We ended up having to rip out 800 square feet two days later and eat the cost. Has anyone else dealt with a GC who ignores the weather report and then blames the finisher?
