TIL the saw cut finishers swore was right cost us $1,800 on a driveway in Lubbock
Everyone on the crew says you cut within 6 hours, no matter what. We did that on a 900 sq ft pour in Lubbock back in April and got spider cracks anyway, right through the joints. The mix was hot, sun was out, wind at 20 mph, and that slab dried way faster than the clock said. Now I go by the finger test and how the edge feels, not the hours. Anyone else stopped trusting the clock and just read the slab?
