Gas station card reader got me for $400, now I yank on every slot before swiping

Happened last month at a Shell off I-80 in Reno. Slimy overlay on the reader, I didnt notice because I was juggling coffee and a phone call. Bank flagged 4 charges at 2am, all in Vegas. Took 3 weeks to get the money back. Now I grab the reader and shake it before inserting, if it wobbles I go inside. Has anyone else had a skimmer found at a station they use regular?
