I used to laugh at my brother for putting a nickel on his router, then my wifi dropped 6 times in one night
My brother keeps a nickel taped to the top of his router and swears it stops his wifi from cutting out, and I made fun of him for it at Thanksgiving in front of everyone. Last Tuesday my connection kept dying every 20 minutes during a work call, so out of pure spite I taped a quarter on mine and it has not dropped once in 4 days. Is this just a weird coincidence or does anyone actually know why a little metal on the router would do anything?
