My neighbor's basement map was right about the tunnels, not crazy after all

So I used to think my neighbor Larry was just a paranoid guy who spent too much time on old city records, you know? He kept insisting there was a network of Prohibition era tunnels under our block in Cincinnati, not just the one under the brewery. Last week, while fixing a leaky pipe, a contractor accidentally broke through a bricked off passage about 8 feet from my foundation. It lined up exactly with Larry's hand drawn map from 3 years ago, down to the little iron grate he marked. The contractor said it was 40 feet long and definitely not on any current utility plans. Honestly, it makes me wonder how many other 'crazy' locals actually know their stuff. Has anyone else ever had a neighbor's wild theory check out like that?
