My uncle swears the moon landing was faked, then I found out he thinks the moon itself is a light on a dome

So my uncle Larry has been into conspiracy stuff for years. Last Thanksgiving in Boise he goes off about the moon landing being shot in a studio. Fine, whatever, I've heard it a hundred times. But then my aunt pipes up and says he also believes the moon is not even a rock, it's a light attached to a dome over the earth. He just nods and says 'well yeah, obviously.' I sat there with a fork full of mashed potatoes just staring. So now I'm curious, do most people who doubt the landing also think the moon is fake? Or is my uncle just a special case? Because I feel like those are two totally different conspiracies and he's mixing them together like a salad.
