Overheard a guy at the hardware store busting the moon landing hoax

I was in line at Lowes in Tulsa waiting to get some fence post caps and this older dude in front of me was telling the cashier that NASA faked the whole thing because the flags in the footage wave without wind. I almost laughed but then he said something about how the radiation belt wouldve cooked the astronauts and the math on that actually checks out for a solar flare period. I looked it up on my phone right there and the belts are real but the Apollo guys passed through the thin parts, still it got me thinking about how a simple claim feels solid until you dig for 10 minutes. Did anyone else have a debate that started with a dumb overheard line but ended up sending you down a rabbit hole for days?
