Showerthought: I was convinced the 'birds aren't real' thing was a joke, but a guy in Denver with a binder of old city planning maps made me pause.

Okay but the binder itself isn't proof of a change. Old city planning maps get revised all the time for normal reasons. A street gets widened, a new park goes in, zoning laws update. That's just how cities work. The weird part is someone collecting them to fit a conspiracy, not the maps existing. My dad has a binder of old train schedules, it doesn't mean the trains were fake.

The binder detail is what gets me. A joke stays online, but physical proof changes things. That guy went out of his way to find old maps, which means he saw a real pattern. It makes you wonder what else has been quietly replaced without anyone noticing. How many other everyday things have a weird paper trail if you look for it?
